| Info | A resident of Ajax-Pickering for 22, years, Todd McCarthy chose this community as the best place to raise his family and he still believes that Ajax-Pickering is the best community in the province in which to live, work and play.
Todd is a lawyer by trade and has assumed a role of leadership in Ajax Pickering. He served as Trustee with the then-Durham Region Separate School Board from 1993 to 1997 and as Deputy Judge since 2002.
Having seen the damage caused by eight years of reckless and wasteful spending by the McGuinty Liberal government, Todd decided to become involved and was nominated as the Ontario PC candidate in June 2010. He believes firmly that only the Ontario PC Party can change the perilous course the McGuinty Liberals have chosen for Ontario. Todd wants to be a part of a government that will reverse Ontario’s slide into “have-not” status and give families – and their pocketbooks – a break.
Todd has been heavily involved in charitable activities throughout the community. He has coached soccer and hockey for many years, and has been a lector at St. Francis de Sales Parish for 22 years. In Scarborough he chaired the Scarborough Hospital Foundation, and is currently working to raise funds for the Rouge Valley Hospital Foundation.
Todd and his wife Kathy have raised three children; Meaghan, Brendan, and Jake. Todd has a love for sports and enjoys tennis, golf and hockey – and loves spending quality time with his wife and kids.
