| Info | Louis Terhar is serving his first term in the Ohio House of Representatives. He represents the 30th House District, which includes portions of Hamilton County.
Representative Terhar graduated from Elder High School in Cincinnati. He earned a BS from the United States Naval Academy in 1972, an MBA in Finance from Syracuse University and an MA in Government from Harvard University.
Prior to joining the legislature, he was the President and CEO of Integris Metals, the largest North American distributor of stainless steel and aluminum. He was also President and CEO of The David J. Joseph Company, a major marketer and processor of steel, as well as a railcar operator and leasor.
He is currently the Managing Director of a strategic business planning firm and a member of the Board of Directors at Pike Electric Company, which specializes in engineering, repair and maintenance services to public utilities.
He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Dan Beard Council, Boy Scouts of America and serves as a Trustee of the Altiora Fund for Cincinnati Elder High School.
Since 2002, Representative Terhar teaches the Capstone Course in the Executive MBA program at Xavier University. In 2008, he was named the Xavier MBA Professor of the Year by graduate students.
Representative Terhar and his wife, Debe, have four children and three grandchildren.
