InfoLynn, 49, was appointed coroner in 1991 by then-Gov. Robert Casey. Lynn had been active in conducting county death investigations as chief deputy coroner from 1981 until 1991.

He has been employed by Montour County since 1979, when he first started working as an emergency services 911 dispatcher.

He became a certified death investigator in 1991 after completing education at the Pennsylvania State Police Academy in Harrisburg. A certified paramedic since 1981, he began a volunteer career at the Danville Ambulance Service as an emergency medical technician.

He was instrumental in establishing advanced life support programs in Montour, Union, Snyder and Northumberland counties. After the programs were established, he accepted a position with the Lycoming, Tioga, Sullivan EMS Council, where he held the positions of field representative and training coordinator. After gaining experience managing and training emergency medical services throughout the Susquehanna EHS and LTS regions, he accepted a position at the state Department of Health’s Bureau of Emergency Medical Services. He returned to Montour County to promote the growth of emergency services in his hometown and began serving as operations manager for the Danville Ambulance Service. He was promoted to executive director, his current post.

He continues to instruct cardiopulmonary resuscitation programs in the community and serves as an instructor for the American Heart Association in advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support. He serves as an emergency services instructor for Harrisburg Area Community College.

His affiliations include the Pennsylvania Coroners Association, Danville Masonic Lodge 224 and Caldwell Consistory. He is president of the Susquehanna Emergency Health Services Council board.

He and his wife, MaryAnn, have four sons with three of them living in Danville. Jamie is a student at York College. Terrance is a Lycoming College student. Scott II is a paramedic, and Derrick, who lives in North Carolina, is disabled from injuries suffered while deployed with the Army in Iraq.
