InfoBrian Sproule was born in Vernon, B.C. and has been active with the Marxist-Leninists for more than 30 years. He was the Marxist-Leninist candidate in a provincial by-election in Kellowna in 1973. He worked for many years as a postal worker. Following that, he took up the field of health care where he works as a care attendant and is active in the B.C. Government and Service Employees' Union. Brian was also the person responsible for the Party bookshop and headquarters in Vancouver which he defended against attacks by fascists in the early 1980s. Brian fights to defend health care and health-care workers under the program Stop Paying the Rich -- Increase Funding for Social Programs!
