InfoKevin Sorenson, first elected in 2000, is the Member of Parliament for the riding of Crowfoot.

Kevin was re-elected in the 2004 federal election with an overwhelming majority of 80.21%. Following the election, Kevin was appointed Associate Critic for Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness. He presently serves as Vice-Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade.

He has served previously as the Official Opposition's Senior Solicitor General Critic and Deputy Critic for Justice.

Born and raised in Killam, Alberta, Kevin, his wife Darlene and their children Kristen and Ryan still reside on a farm within a few miles of his family home. Prior to first being elected, Kevin owned and operated a small auction company after obtaining his Auctioneer Diploma in Billings, Montana.
