Info | Sen. Iris W. Estabrook was first elected to the New Hampshire Senate in November of 2002. Prior to being elected to the Senate, she served for three terms in the New Hampshire House of Representatives as assistant House Democratic leader for education policy on the House Education Committee.
Estabrook is vice chair of the Interstate Cooperation Committee and is a member of the Executive Departments and Administration Committee and the Public Institutions, Health and Human Services Committee.
Estabrook is a former elementary school teacher and director of the University of New Hampshire Child Care Resource and Referral. She is a past member of the Oyster River School Board.
Estabrook is a graduate of Cornell University and holds a master of science degee in teaching from the University of Chicago. She resides in Durham with her husband, John.
