InfoSen. Sheila Roberge is a Republican serving her 10th term representing District 9. She is currently the dean of the Senate, an honorary title bestowed upon the longest-serving sitting senator. This session, Roberge is chair of Public Affairs, vice chair of Wildlife and Recreation, and serves on both the Judiciary and the Insurance committees.

Since joining the Senate, Roberge's priorities have been holding the line on taxes, making government more responsive to the public, and promoting legislation leading to planned growth.

The senator was active in the Reagan�Bush campaigns in both 1980 and 1984, serving as the assistant coordinator for the Northeast during those years, and as state coordinator for the campaign in 1984.

Roberge lives in Bedford and has two children.
