Det Ansinn is Bucks County business owner and is currently serving as Council President of Doylestown Borough.
Det is a graduate of Central Bucks West and Drexel University’s Electrical Engineering program. He was first elected to Doylestown Borough Council in 2005 becoming its first ever Democratic Council President in 2007. As Council President, Det has led the borough to implement its most fiscally restrained budgets in decades while working to maintain the quality of life and character that is the county seat.
In addition to his status as an elected official in Doylestown Borough, Det has been engaged in countywide issues affecting our communities. He is past Board President of the Bucks County Free Library system. He currently sits on the county’s Open Space Review Board.
Det is the founder of BrickSimple LLC, a software company and consulting firm. BrickSimple created technology to allow US-based programmers to be more productive and cost-competitive with off-shore labor keeping jobs here. Today, BrickSimple is a leading mobile application firm that develops “apps” in industries ranging from financial services to pharmaceutical companies. BrickSimple’s clients include Fortune 500 companies as well as entrepreneurial startups.
Det has been interviewed in BusinessWeek for his work in cloud computing technology in addition to being a published author for various trade magazines. He has been and continues to be a featured speaker and panelist at technology and social media conferences.
Det lives in Doylestown Borough with his wife of 16 years, Bridget, and their three children, Allison, Carolyn, and Timmy.
