| Info | He received his B.A. in Business Administration from Faulkner University and Masters Degree in Human Resource Management from Troy State University. He and his wife, Pat, are the parents of two children: DuWayne Jr. and Karen. Representative Bridges is the owner and president of Bridges/Perlis Travel Plaza and is the owner of Bridges Western Wear and Antiques. He is also a member of the Assembly of God Church . Representative Bridges serves as a member of the Colonial Bank Board of Trustees, the Opelika-Auburn Chamber of Commerce, and Gideon's International. He has also served as past overall chairman of the Hike/Bike/Run Event for Valley Haven School for the Mentally Retarded, past president and board member for the Association for the Retarded Citizens, past president and board member for the Greater Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, past vice chairman for the Alabama State Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation, and as a board member for the Chattahoochee Valley Hospital. Representative Bridges has also been honored as the 1991 Outstanding ARC Volunteer and the 1996 Chambers County Gentleman of the Year.
