| Info | Jeff Johnson was born in 1964 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He was the valedictorian of his Hopkinsville High School class of 1982. He won a National Merit Scholarship and a Naval ROTC scholarship to Vanderbilt University, where he double-majored in mathematics and computer science. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Mortar Board, and the Gamma Beta Phi honor societies. He graduated summa cum laude in 1986.
He moved to the Huntsville area after graduation and began work as a software developer for Intergraph Corporation. He completed 9 of 12 courses towards his master's degree in computer science at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
He is currently employed as a software developer for Electronic Data Systems (E.D.S.), where he works on the Solid Edge computer-aided design program.
Jeff is the proud father of two wonderful girls, Erin 11, and Madison, 5, who both attend Madison Academy. He has resided in a house in a quiet neighborhood in the city limits of Madison for the past 13 years.
Jeff has been active in the state Libertarian Party since the late 1980's. He served as secretary of the state party for two years. He is also a life-member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), and Gun Owners of America.
