| Info | Andrew Winfrey was born and raised in the fifth district. He attended Mt. Tabor High School in Winston-Salem, and after high school, enlisted in the United States Marine Corp - serving honorably from 1988 to 1992.
While in the Marine Corp, Andrew graduated Avionics Technician School, at NAS Millington, Tennessee; and graduated NAMTRADET FLIR school at NAS Jacksonville, Florida. During his tour, he served under operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, rear command at MCAS El Toro, California, troubleshooting the AN-AAS-38 FLIR system for the F/A 18 Hornet.
After a brief stint in California’s huge defense industry, Andrew moved back to Winston-Salem, and embarked on a successful career in professional sales.
Andrew is a hard working husband, and father of three. He feels it is his civic duty to offer his talents, command of the issues, and common sense values for good government, to the people of the 5th District.
