Olivia Cajero Bedford has been involved with the Democratic Party for 36 years. Olivia has participated in the political campaigns of Dennis DeConcini, Mo Udall, Governor Bruce Babbitt, Governor Raul Castro and City Councilman Brent Davis. Olivia's political involvement was constant during those 28 years, her parents Bernardo "Nayo" and Carmen Cajero served in the Arizona State House of Representatives. During those 28 years, Olivia advised Bernardo and Carmen on hundreds of important votes such as free text books for high school students and the appropriation of funds for the creation of the University of Arizona Cancer Research Center...Olivia has close-up experience with the legislative process!
Past and present affiliations include the Tucson Mountain Association, Gates Pass Area Neighborhood Association, Tucson Convention Center Commission, Arizona Tourism Advisory Council and Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International. Olivia also served as President for the Democrats of Greater Tucson, Vice Chair of the Pima County Democratic Party.
Olivia was born and raised in Tucson and has lived in District 27 for over 30 years. Olivia is a graduate of Tucson High School. She attended the University of Arizona and Pima Community College. Olivia is divorced with two children.
