InfoBob Herriott is a 1964 graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy at Annapolis Maryland. After graduation Bob was assigned to Naval Air Training in Pensacola Florida and received his Navy Wings in 1965. He was assigned to Patrol Squadron 50 after completion of his training assignment.

During his active duty Naval service Bob had three deployments to South East Asia, based primarily at Naval Air Station Sangley Point, Republic of the Philippines and Cam Rhan Bay, Republic of South Vietnam. In these assignments he flew several hundred combat support hours in the Viet Nam conflict, supporting coastal blockade efforts and Fleet surface protection in the Tonkin Gulf off the coast of North Viet Nam and the Communist Island of Hainan. Bob received a number of decorations including the Air Medal, Viet Nam Service Medal, Viet Nam campaign ribbon with four stars, the Republic of Viet Nam Cross of Gallantry with Palm and several other decorations.

While on active duty service Bob rose rapidly through the ranks filling a number of assignments from the Power Plants Branch Officer, Avionics Weapons Division Officer and Assistant Squadron Operations Officer. His flying abilities were recognized when he was designated as a Patrol Plane Commander, one of only two junior officers to command a flight crew in his twelve crew squadron. He was also designated a Chief of Naval Air Pacific Evaluator, charged with evaluating all other Squadron Pilots.

Bob left active duty in 1970, but remained in the Active Naval Air Reserve Forces, filling many significant billets, and retiring as a full Commander.
After leaving active duty Bob was employed by a Real Estate investment firm as an account executive. After one and a half years, he became Assistant Manager for a local office and was promoted to Office Manager six months later. In 1973, Bob received an opportunity to work for Western Air Lines which was assimilated by Delta Air Lines in 1987. Bob is currently employed as a 767 / 757 Captain with Delta.

Since leaving the Naval Service, Bob has been involved in the community as a local businessman, owning and operating a restaurant and is involved in extensive personal investing. He has served in a wide variety of public and political offices, ranging from local planning commissions, community Ad Hoc committees, home owners associations, elected public utility commission (Director and President) and several multi-jurisdictional governing bodies. Bob was twice nominated as citizen of the year by his local community. He has held a number of political party positions including working on Paul Coverdell�s campaign, Bob Barr�s congressional campaign and was recently elected to his fourth term as the Chairman of the 7th Congressional District Republican Party. He also serves as a primary surrogate speaker for Congressman Bob Barr and Chairs the Congressman�s Military Academy appointment review Board. Bob chaired the 7th Congressional District Veterans for Bush/Cheney Committee, and currently sits on both the Republican Party State Committee and the State Party Executive Committee.

Bob is married to his high school sweetheart Mary. They have three children, Robin, Rob and Darren. They are also proud Grandparents of Addison and Glen.
