Info | HATHORN, Henry Harrison, a Representative from New York; born in Greenfield, Ulster County, N.Y., November 28, 1813; attended the common schools and was graduated from the public schools of Greenfield; discoverer of the “Hathorn Mineral Spring”; sheriff of Saratoga County 1853-1856 and 1862-1865; engaged in mercantile pursuits in Saratoga Springs 1839-1849; supervisor of Saratoga Springs 1858, 1860, 1866, and 1867; elected as a Republican to the Forty-third and Forty-fourth Congresses (March 4, 1873-March 3, 1877); again became engaged in the mineral-water business; died at Saratoga Springs, Saratoga County, N.Y., February 20, 1887; interment in Greenridge Cemetery.
