Flavio Cotti born in Prato-Sornico on 18 October 1939) is a Swiss politician.
He was elected to the Federal Council of Switzerland on 10 December 1986 and handed over office on 30 April 1999. He is affiliated to the Christian Democratic People's Party of Switzerland.
During his office time he held the following departments:
Federal Department of Home Affairs (1987 - 1993)
Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (1994 - 1999)
He was President of the Confederation twice, first in 1991 and then again in 1998.
