Info | A TD since 2011, Anne Ferris was briefly expelled from the Labour parliamentary party after voting in February 2015 against the Government on a motion which called for abortions in cases of fatal foetal abnormalities. She re-joined her party colleagues less than four months later. Deputy Ferris is vice-chairperson of the Justice, Equality and Defence Committee. She was co-opted onto Wicklow County Council in 2003 after a failed 1999 local election bid. Among her priorities for government are tackling unemployment in the family, better support for victims of domestic violence, and improving conditions for those facing retirement.
