InfoMike Nixon moved to Whitehorse in 1998 and has never looked back.

In his early days in the Yukon, Mike was the owner of the Family Fun Centre in Riverdale and spent 5 years working with at-risk youth across the downtown core. He volunteered on the board of Big Brothers and Big Sisters.

Today, Mike runs a property management corporation and has recently formed a graphic design company.

Mike Nixon is a man of great balance providing experience on social issues and in the business community.

Mike Nixon co-founded Autism Yukon and worked with the Yukon Party government to develop a system to offer specialized services for children and adults diagnosed with autism. Mike's son, Jack, who was diagnosed with Autism in 2002, serves as an ever present inspiration to continue working on behalf of children and families with disabilities.

Mike has chosen to run for the Yukon Party because he wants to be a part of making a difference in the lives of Yukoners. He recognizes the Yukon Party's progressive approach to social issues in Yukon and their enhancement of the social programs that have improved Whitehorse Centre.
