| Info | I was raised in South Jersey and following my graduation from Widener Law School my husband Bill and I wanted to settle down in an area that had both small town appeal and a family-oriented nature. We chose Edgewater Park in Burlington County, and nine years later we are the proud parents of 8 and 5 year old sons.
Have you ever heard the saying: "If you want something done ask a busy person?" Well, that describes me. I've always been active and involved, so much so that I was named one of Burlington County's 10 people who made a difference in 2006 by the Burlington County Times. Now I'd like to take my enthusiasm and experience to the office of Burlington County Freeholder.
Here are some of the things I've been involved in and how I believe these experiences make me the right person for the job:
* I am a trial and appellate civil-defense attorney, having practiced law in New Jersey for the past 10 years;
* I've been an American Cancer Society volunteer for more than 10 years;
* I currently serve on the American Cancer Society's Eastern Division Board of Directors and as President of the Board of Advisors for the South Jersey Region;
* I was the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network's State Lead Ambassador for New Jersey, taking local cancer patients' issues directly to our legislators in Trenton and Washington, DC;
* I chaired the Relay For Life events in Delran (2006-2008) and Willingboro (2004-2006), leading hundreds of teams of volunteers to raise over $350,000 in the fight against cancer;
* For the past four years I have also volunteered as a member of Edgewater Park's Planning/Zoning Board;
* In 2009 I was elected to Edgewater Park's Township Committee and was named as Committee Liaison to the Planning/Zoning Board as well as to the Edgewater Park Senior Advisory Committee;
* I also volunteer with Edgewater Park's Neighborhood Watch program and the town's Recreation Committee.
