| Info | Ann grew up in Parsippany and graduated from the Parsippany school district. She lives in the home she grew up in with her husband and daughter. Ann considers herself a public servant, not a politician, who has dedicated her life to serving the people, her community and the residents of Morris County.
She was awarded a Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law, MA and BA from William Paterson College of NJ, and AA from County College of Morris. Ann is a member of the Morris County Bar Association, and is admitted to the NJ Bar, the US District Court for the District of NJ and the NJ Supreme Court.
Ann has served Morris County for many years at the grass root level. In 2010, she was elected to the Board of Chosen Freeholders. From 2006-10, she sat on the Parsippany Council and held the positions of Council President and Vice President she worked to reduce spending, wrote the first Anti-Stacking Ordinance generating more than $500,000 in revenue, created the Economic Development Committee, supported the upgrade of the Water Treatment Plant generating to a state-of-the art facility that has increased township revenue by more than $1,000,000.00 per year while reducing energy costs by more than 50%, sponsored the 911 memorial, halted the personal use of township vehicles, supported Transparency in Government requiring publication of all financial data, sat on the town’s Planning Board, and was Liaison to the Morris County League of Municipalities, Environmental Advisory Committee and Public Library. Prior to Governor Christie’s 2% cap initiative, Ann capped municipal budget increases to the rate of inflation.
As a Freeholder Ann reduced spending and delivered a 0% flat tax. Her assignments as Freeholder were: Chair of the Budget-sub Committee, Alternate Commissioner on the Insurance Commission; Liaison to the Dept. of Planning/Development, Dept. of Finance/Administration, Municipal Utilities Authority, Dept. of Health/Human Services, Morris County Economic Development Corp., Trustee to the New Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, Picatinny Arsenal Incubator Center and Board of School Estimate. She also sat as a voting member of the Morris County Planning Board and was a key sponsor of the County’s Flood Mitigation Plan and the Transparency Committee.
Ann has worked as Chief of Enforcement for the Bureau of Enforcement, NJ Dept. of Law and Public Safety where she commanded a diverse staff of more than 100 public employees with five statewide regional and three satellite offices. In addition to having been in private practice Ann has worked as Associate Executive Director for a major labor organization representing more than 5,000 members, worked for a private boutique employment and labor law firm and has practiced in the areas of real estate law, employment and labor law, civil service practices, labor negotiations, disciplinary procedures, discriminatory practices, employee evaluations, interviewing and hiring practices, landlord/tenant, litigation, municipal land use, municipal law and planning and development.
In 2011, Ann was honored as Woman of the Year by the Parsippany Republican Club and as Outstanding Italian American by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Community Affairs Unit, and the Italian American Police Society of New Jersey. In 2012, Ann was again honored as Outstanding Woman of Achievement by the Morris County Hispanic-American Chamber of Commerce and in 2014 she was recognized as Outstanding Alumni by the County College of Morris.
