Education: BA, history and government, Colorado College

Health-care advocate, U.S. Sen. Mark Dayton; B.A., history and government, Colorado College; former grass-roots organizer for presidential campaign; Attorney General's Task Force on Health Care; single.

Throughout my life, public service has been important to me. My experience as a health-care advocate, involvement in federal government and upbringing in the community will make me an effective legislator and strong voice for my neighbors. After listening to the concerns of the community, I know we share many of the same priorities. We need to provide a quality education for our children, work toward meaningful health-care reform and affordable prescription drug prices, strengthen workplace safety laws, and reduce traffic congestion. I will work hard at the Capitol to ensure that the needs of my community are addressed.
