Info(from campaign website)

A New Hampshire native, I moved to California after working in Chicago as a paralegal. I worked as a paralegal for an Intellectual Property firm on Sand Hill Rd, before starting my public service career in San José.

I have had the opportunity to serve the residents of San José for almost ten years, first as a Council Assistant to former Councilmember Pat Dando, then as Chief of Staff to former Councilmember Linda LeZotte, and currently as Chief of Staff to Councilmember Pete Constant. While the three individuals are very different and have drastically different priorities, all three of them are dedicated public servants.

In that time, I have worked on every City issue imaginable and some that I would never have imagined. It taught me how to see an issue from many sides and how to work with very different individuals to achieve the best end result for the people of San José. It has been an incredible education and has prepared me to serve our City as the next Councilmember from District 9.

Working at City Hall provides insight into how the City works (or doesn’t at times), but in order to really understand the needs of a community you must venture beyond the cubicles of City Hall. I am proud of having served my community for almost ten years as a council aide and chief of staff, but my greatest joy in serving San José has come from my volunteer community service experience.
