Info | Rep. Kent Hampton, a Republican, represents parts of Dunklin, Stoddard and Butler Counties (District 163) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2010.
Prior to his legislative duties, Rep. Hampton worked for 38 years in management for Noranda Aluminum in New Madrid.
Rep. Hampton is a member of the Malden Lions Club, the NRA and the Missouri Farm Bureau. He is also a member and deacon of the First Southern Baptist Church in Malden.
Rep. Hampton is a 1965 graduate of Malden High School and received a diploma from Metro Business School in 1967.
Born February 3, 1948 in Malden, Rep. Hampton currently resides there with his wife, Janis. They have two daughters, Julieana Lancaster and Christina Hampton and five grandchildren; Dustin and Mallory Lancaster, and Drew, Lauren and Owen Fortner.
