| Info | About Karen Weldin Stewart ~
Karen Weldin Stewart grew up in Delaware; her ancestors came here in the late 1600�s. In fact there is even a road named for her family � Weldin Road, in Brandywine 100.
In the 1970�s and early 80�s, she served as State President of the Delaware Young Democrats. In 1973 she was a democratic committeewoman. She has worked for many Democratic candidates in both state and federal races, and was on the Joe Biden for President staff.
She has been working in the Insurance Regulation field for over a decade, first as a Deputy with the Delaware Department of Insurance, then as a consultant to the Insurance Commissioner of Texas, and most recently on a 4-year project for the Insurance Commissioner in Utah.
Karen is one of just a few certified Insurance Receivers in the world. She has worked with Insurance Commissioners worldwide and was elected three times to serve as President of the International Association of Insurance Receivers. Currently she is the President and CEO of the Weldin Group Inc.
Extremely knowledgeable in the Insurance field, Karen is particularly concerned about the issues facing policyholders in the state of Delaware. Currently she is seeking your vote as the next Insurance Commissioner for the State of Delaware.
