| Info | Born and raised in Central PA, Ryan Sanders grew up on a small farm close to the Susquehanna River. With a family rooted in York and Adams County for 10 generations you can expect that he was taught the Central Pennsylvania traits of frugality, respect for others and a strong work ethic. His father, an assembly line worker, and his mother, a registered nurse, raised him to use those lessons every day and have shaped his lifelong commitment to service. Ryan graduated from Cumberland County's own Dickinson College and received a Master's Degree in International Relations from Syracuse University.
While completing his master's thesis on government reform, Ryan worked in Brussels, Belgium for the European Commission. He spent 5 years working in Washington DC before returning to his hometown to start his own business with his brother. They currently have two companies; Lion Technologies, a computer consulting business and a real estate development company, Red Lion Development Corp, which works to revitalize historic property in Red Lion. Three years ago, Ryan was elected President of the Red Lion Area Business Association. He has used this seat to promote his hometown and support the revitalization of buildings, business and community in Southern York County.
