InfoRep. Susan Carlson (D-64) represents parts of St. Louis City and St. Louis County in the Missouri House of Representatives. She was elected in November 2010.

In addition to her legislative duties, Rep. Carlson is an active attorney in a private practice. She previously worked as an attorney with the United States Department of Justice, law professor at Washington University Law School, volunteer lawyer with Obama Voter Protection Program and a high school teacher.

Rep. Carlson is a Democratic Committeewoman for Hadley Township. She has served as a national board member for the ACLU and as president of the Eastern Missouri ACLU from 2001 – 2004. Rep. Carlson is also a member of the Missouri Women’s Political Caucus, where she was a past state and St. Louis president, the UMSL Women’s Initiative Leadership Council and the Governor’s Automotive Jobs Task Force. She is a former board member of the University City Educational Foundation. She is a member of the Central Reform Congregation.

Rep. Carlson is a 1968 graduate of Waverly High School in Waverly, Nebraska. She received her A.A. from Cottey College for Women in Nevada, Missouri, and her B.F.A. in Education from the University of Nebraska. She also received her J.D. from the University of Nebraska.

Born November 2, 1949 in Lincoln, Nebraska, Rep. Carlson currently resides in University City with her husband, Gerald P. Greiman. They have two children, David Carlson Greiman and Nora Carlson Greiman.
