| Info | Matt Connolly grew up in Bethesda, MD. He has wanted to become a race car driver since he was 6 years old. He has strived towards that goal ever since. He started racing motorcycles at age 13. He moved to open wheel Formula-V at age 21. At age 22 he attended the Elf-Windfield ecole de pilotage in France and was invited back to compete in the finals. At 23 he won his first racing championship in SCCA Formula Continental. He would later race in professional F2000 and then Formula Atlantic. He started racing production cars in 2000.
