InfoHello, my name is Candice “Britt” Britton. I was born on March 31, 1958. I’m 52 years of age.

FULL DISCLOSER:

I have Muscular Dystrophy in the form of Mitochondrial Myopathy. It’s a progressive disease. I do have a three-wheel scooter and wheelchair for assistance. At this time, I can walk short distances.

My income is Social Security Disability and I’m on Medicare and Medicaid for health insurance. To help me with my rent for my apartment, I have a Section 8 Housing Voucher. I also have a small amount of food stamps to help in my payment for food.

I’m running for Congress because I believe that our Country is in great trouble. We need to get new and fresh people in office to turn things around. The majority of the Congresspersons have held their seats for numerous years. I hold them responsible for our Country’s condition. I ask you this question, “Do you think those that are currently holding office can turn our Country around?” “Aren’t they the ones who have been making laws and regulations that got us into this mess?”

My opponent’s father held the District 1 seat for years. Now, my opponent is the current seat holder. He acts as if he’s entitled to the District 1 seat. It seems as if he doesn’t deem it a privilege, but as if it’s owed to him. He’s also a career politician.

I deeply love our Country! I want to return our Government to its rightful owners…“WE THE PEOPLE.” It’s time to send a clear and loud message…“No more career politicians.”

Missouri’s called, “the SHOW ME STATE,” let us show the rest of the country how it’s done. Lets make REAL changes. Send me, an ordinary citizen, like you, to Washington D.C. August 3, 2010. No one owns or is entitled to hold the District 1 seat. The people of District 1 own that seat.

I believe that I can not ethically ask anyone else to do something that I would not do myself.

Therefore, I’m running for the U.S. House of Representatives. I need the support of ordinary citizens that are ready for changes. We the people need to take back our Government.

It’s up to you. It’s in your hands. Resend the “same old thing” or send me, “fresh and new.” I, respectfully, ask for your vote.
