InfoTony Miller is well-known in campaign finance reform and election law circles as a co-proponent of Proposition 208 and as the publisher of Prop 208 Reporter, a monthly newsletter regarding California's Political Reform Act. He is the founder of Californians for Political Reform Foundation, a nonprofit, public interest law firm created to assist in the implementation and legal defense of campaign finance reform laws. He has served as a Board Member of California Common Cause.

Tony, a Democrat, is currently a candidate for California Lt. Governor. He was the Democratic nominee for California Secretary of State in 1994, losing that election by 37,000 votes out of over 8 million votes cast for that office.

Prior to engaging in the private practice of law, Tony Miller served as Chief Deputy State Controller, Acting Secretary of State of California and as Chief Deputy Secretary of State. Prior to that he served as a member of the Fair Political Practices Commission, a legislative and congressional aide, a small businessman, a criminal investigator, a teacher and a firefighter.

Tony graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in political science from the University of California at Davis and received his law degree from the University of California at Berkeley. Tony Miller was raised in Chester, Plumas County. He is an Eagle Scout, an avid runner and a weekend farmer. He and his partner, Peter Pavey, reside in Pleasant Grove, Sutter County, sharing space with Jennie Dean the Pig, Daniel the Cat and a diverse collection of chickens, ducks and geese.
