| Info | PERSON, Seymour Howe, a Representative from Michigan; born on a farm near Howell, Livingston County, Mich., February 2, 1879; attended the district schools and the Howell public schools; was graduated from the law department of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in 1901; was admitted to the bar the same year and commenced practice in Lansing, Mich.; member of the State house of representatives 1915-1921; served in the State senate 1927-1931; delegate to all State conventions for thirty years; elected as a Republican to the Seventy-second Congress (March 4, 1931-March 3, 1933); unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1932 to the Seventy-third Congress; resumed the practice of his profession; died in Lansing, Mich., on April 7, 1957; interment in Deepdale Cemetery.
