Info | LINDQUIST, Francis Oscar, a Representative from Michigan; born in Marinette, Marinette County, Wis., September 27, 1869; attended the common schools; moved to Greenville, Mich., in 1904 and engaged in the mail-order clothing and manufacturing business; moved to Grand Rapids, Mich., in 1915 and became president of the Canada Mills Co., of New York and Michigan; elected as a Republican to the Sixty-third Congress (March 4, 1913-March 3, 1915); was not a candidate for renomination in 1914; resumed the mail-order business in Grand Rapids; after the First World War returned to Greenville, Mich., and supervised a correspondence-school course for sales people; unsuccessful candidate for election in 1922 to the Sixty-eighth Congress; died in Grand Rapids, Mich., on September 25, 1924; interment in Forest Rose Cemetery, Greenville, Montcalm County, Mich.
