Info | Robbins was a son of John D. & Myra D. Robbins. He was born in Caldwell County NC on 2/14/1886. He married Lena Miller, and they had six children. His son Grover Jr. is well known as the founder of the Tweetsie Railroad.
Robbins was nominated by the North Carolina Republican Party to run for Secretary of State in 1956. He died on 6/24/1956 in Blowing Rock NC prior to the election. The state Republicans did not choose a replacement nominee.
