InfoAdam Robinson isn’t the kind of candidate we’re used to seeing in Chicago politics. As an independent-minded advocate for individual liberty, economic prosperity, government transparency, and equal rights for all citizens, he’s offering something fresh and new for those dissatisfied with the status quo.

Adam moved to Chicago after graduating from the University of Illinois, and began his career placing local technology workers at jobs with top Chicago companies. When he noticed that many businesses lacked the resources or knowledge to attract the workers they needed, Adam saw opportunity and started a business that helped Chicago companies recruit and employ permanent workers. Adam’s business placed over 1500 people at Chicago-based businesses between 2004 and 2009.

Adam’s interest in Illinois politics began when then Governor Rod Blagojevich was pushing his idea for a Gross Receipts Tax (GRT) to plug a hole in his bloated and vastly inefficient State budget. Adam knew that the GRT was a regressive and terrible tax because it would have devastated small businesses – and their employees – the hardest, and because it would have raised the prices on everything from groceries to the morning cup of coffee. Fortunately, thousands of concerned citizens like Adam joined the fight and defeated the anti-prosperity Blagojevich and his GRT.

Adam is passionate about entrepreneurship, donating his expertise to numerous organizations that support the entrepreneurial cause. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Entrepreneur’s Organization’s Chicago chapter, where he recently helped develop and launch a new national program targeted at mentoring early-stage entrepreneurs. Adam is also on the Board of Advisors for DePaul University’s Coleman Entrepreneurship Center, where he serves as both a resource and speaker at the No. 2 ranked Entrepreneurship program in the United States.

Adam earned his Bachelors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and his MBA at DePaul University in Chicago. He lives in Edgewater with his wife, Anna, where they welcomed their first child, John, into the world in May of 2009.

Adam is prepared to take on the legislative status quo and bring common sense back to our State government. With your help, we can send someone to Springfield with your interest in mind, not theirs.
