InfoThe story of Corinne’s family is like many other families whose grandparents left a troubled Eastern Europe for the hope of a better life in Illinois. Arriving from Poland in 1890 Corinne’s grandmother and grandfather settled in Chicago, married at a young age and began to build their family and their hopes for a better future. Her grandfather worked in the stockyards, and her grandmother raised six children. Corinne’s father studied to be a violinist, but with a family to support became a carpenter and helped to build the magnificent Chicago skyline including the iconic Marina Towers. Corinne’s maternal grandmother, a widow, raised her only child, Corinne’s mother, by working as a seamstress and eventually opened her own dry cleaners on Chicago’s north side. Her mother finished high school, worked as a waitress and supported her three children. With encouragement from her mother that education is the key to success, Corinne became the first college graduate of her family and went on to earn two graduate degrees.

The strength of Corinne’s family instilled her with middle class values of hard work and perseverance. Corinne knows that real success is not measured on financial gain, but on the hopes that one’s children will do better than their parents. Having more than seven years in public service as a St. Charles D303 School Board member, and 25 years of civic leadership Corinne supports practical economic and social policies for Illinois.

As a small business owner, she knows firsthand that predictable and balanced governance is the key to sustaining all Illinois’ businesses and families. At every opportunity, Corinne has fought for strong schools, dignity for Illinois seniors and individuals with disabilities, and the sustainability of Illinois’ middle class.

Like her grandparents before her, Corinne knows the power that place, family and home bring. Corinne like her grandparents believes in Illinois.

Corinne resides in St. Charles with her husband, Robert, and has three grown children and three granddaughters.

Corinne is:
