Accomplishments:
Judge Roberts began her legal career in private practice as a partner in Skelton & Roberts, from 1967 - 1977. She was a member of the Oregon House of Representatives (1965-69) and an Oregon State Senator (1969-77).
Judge Roberts served on the Oregon State Court of Appeals from 1977 - 1982 and on the Oregon Supreme Court from 1982-1986.

Co-presenter, "Mediating the Basic Automobile Injury Case" Oregon Law Institute, 1999, Panel member on "Real Lawyers Mediate," at Oregon Trial Lawyers Conference (1998), Judge Roberts conducts mock mediation training sessions for USA&M's new claims representative training seminars, one-day training session (1995) and half-day training session by USA&M (1996). Since 1989, Judge Roberts has mediated or arbitrated cases involving a wide variety of issues, including automobile personal injuries, slip and fall, medical malpractice, employment, commercial billing disputes, construction problemsand contract disputes. She mediates/arbitrates more than 100 cases per year.
Affiliations:
Since retiring from the Supreme Court, Judge Roberts has been actively involved in mediating and arbitrating. She has spoken on the use of ADR for insurance companies and attorneys, and has participated in CLE workshops and seminars.
She has been on the Board of Directors for the Metropolitan Public Defender from 1990 - 1994. She served as a Pro Tem Settlement Conference Judge from 1990 - 1992, and as a visiting professor at Oregon State University (Dubach Endowed Chair in Political Science) from 1988 - 1992. Judge Roberts received the 1986 Oregon State Bar Award of Merit. She is a member of Oregon Judicial Conference, Senior Judges Association, Oregon State Bar, served on the Oregon Women Lawyers Foundation Board and Northwestern School of Law, Lewis and Clark College Alumni Board.
