InfoHi and welcome to my web site. Let me tell you a little about my life. I was born at McKeesport Hospital October 12, 1950. I was raised in White Oak Borough. It was a nice place to grow up in the 50’s and 60's. I attended Valley Forge Military Academy for one year where I learned discipline and honor, though it was my father that taught me respect. I graduated from Serra Catholic High School 1968. I worked various part time jobs during the summers of my high school years. In 1970 I married Bonita Ryan who is the mother of our two daughters, Lesli Joy Buttermore and Michelle Lynn Gordon.

My first full time job was working with computers at White Cross Pharmacy, they were bought out by Revco and their main office was out of town. I could not find work in Pittsburgh so we moved to Brooklyn, NY. I continued working with computers at National Bank of North America. We returned to Pittsburgh a year later so I could attend community college and lived with my parents. I left school for a job with Mayflower moving company. This is where I was introduced to the transportation and trucking industry. I was offered a job with Construction Tool Service as a local delivery driver. This job provided me the opportunity to be closer to my wife. I was a member of the Teamsters Union while working for Mayflower and Construction Tool Service. I started working for the Port Authority of Allegheny County in 1974 where I became a member of Amalgamated Transit Union local 85. With the security provided by this job we decided to start a family, in April of 1975 we welcomed our first daughter Lesli.

As a young man I had many dreams and ambitions. We bought and ran a Dari Delite in the time frame of 1975-1978. In March of 1978 we welcomed our second daughter Michelle. Through the 80's I helped raise our family. In 1988 I had gastric banding surgery and lost over 100 pounds. In 1991 my wife and I separated and went through a very long and bitter divorce. In 1995 I welcomed my first grandson Daniel. I retired from the Port Authority in 1999. Before my retirement I drove tractor trailer part time and when I retired I drove full time as well as part time. In 2003 I started my own truck company with one truck. Over the years my company expanded to eight trucks. Unfortunately in 2008 the company closed due to the high fuel prices. I am once again driving a truck for a company. It’s been an adjustment to be an employee again after being the boss. My oldest daughter is married and has three children. My three grandchildren are Daniel, born in 1995, Shauna, born in 2005, and Richard, born in 2008. My youngest daughter hasn’t had much of a relationship with me in over fifteen years. I did remarry in 2001, to Sun Kim. The best thing I ever did. Sun was born in South Korea and has been in this country for more than thirty years.
