InfoI have lived a life, thus far, spiced with variety. I grew up primarily on the West Side of Chicago (Cicero), and I have deep blue-collar roots instilled in me because of the society I lived in. Despite living the critical years of my life with my widowed Father, I am fortunate that he was steadfast in making sure that education came first for his children.

I have spent time working as an auto-mechanic and I was lucky enough to graduate with my skills to working on racecars, street rods, and high-tech automotive electronics. While attending college for Mechanical Engineering, I also worked as a voluntary member of the World Security Bureau, which was a charitable organization that attempted to help victims of domestic abuse. Along with that organization, I was also asked to help recruit for a new union, Local 21, which was established to help organize private security employees.

Now a white-collar worker for a union electrical contractor, and living in the Chicago suburbs, I find outlets from my day job primarily with music. I work with a local Hip-Hop artist, a few Rock/Metal Bands, and most recently, the Legendary Drifters (of “Under The Boardwalk” fame). On occasion I also play the piano, but our national political problems of recent times have kept me occupied with studying and comparing these to times of the American past.

Recently employed again, after a surprise six-month layoff, I surely understand the pain that many of my fellow Americans feel.

As your US Senator, my ambition is NOT to become part of the ruling party, but to actually work for the people that I represent. I hold tight in my beliefs and conclusions, but I am always open to hearing and learning more; because I know, seemingly unlike many members of Congress know of themselves, I am not infallible and always need to learn from and listen to others. I know our founding fathers, despite their faults and inconsistencies, laid a great foundation for this country; but in contrast, I also understand the concerns stated by the local representatives at the various state conventions of 1787 regarding the formation of the “new” US Constitution. It is the fruition of these concerns that now affect our everyday lives, and something must be done to reverse course. I want to extend my tireless work habits to do something that is bigger than myself; I want true freedom for ALL Americans.
