InfoDave Seabrook is a Captain with the Vancouver Fire Department on one of the busiest engine companies in the area. He has been a paramedic serving our community since 1988. Dave has played a key role in the implementation of many innovative programs including the Older Persons are Important Program. This includes an at-risk referral program that tries to connect seniors with community resources to help them lead independent lives in their own homes for as long as possible. Dave has conducted and published research on ways to promote quality and control costs in emergency health care.

Dave completed his Master of Public Affairs degree in 1998 from Washington State University. He focused on health policy and was awarded a certificate in Health Policy and Administration. Dave's work demonstrated the potential for emergency medical service workers to assist in the integration of health care and social services.

Dave has been married to his wife Karen for seventeen years. Dave and Karen have lived in Washington since 1988 and moved to the Venersborg area (east of Battleground) in 1991.

Dave and Karen have two children, who both attend Battle Ground Schools. The family enjoys hiking, camping, going to movies, reading and chess. Dave's other hobbies include gardening and restoring an old World War II Army Truck.
