InfoNicholas is a lifelong resident of Ridgefield and graduated from Ridgefield Memorial High School in 1988. He received a Bachelors Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Finance and Economics with a concentration in Real Estate Studies in 1992. He then earned an MBA in Finance and Economics from Pace University in 1994.

Nicholas remained in Ridgefield working for a diverse real estate property management company, in which he is now President. Through his work, Nick has extensive business experience dealing with local, county, and state government agencies on issues such as zoning, traffic, and infrastructure.

Nicholas was a member of the Ridgefield Board of Health and also was the President of the Ridgefield Manufacturers Association from 2004-2006.

In 2008, Nicholas was elected to the Ridgefield Council where he served as the Chairman of the Department of Public Works and was a member of the Finance and Police Committees.

In 2009, he was selected as the Council President. He is also the Police Commissioner, a member of the Finance and Public Works committees, and is the Chairman of the Redevelopment Committee. He continually works in a bipartisan manner to initiate policies that he feels are in the best interest of Ridgefield as a whole.

Nicholas has initiated policies on issues such as senior housing, ethics reform, redevelopment planning, and taxpayer saving measures.

Nicholas has also been a vocal critic in the outcry against public corruption in light of the arrest of Ridgefield Mayor Anthony Suarez. As Council President, he was instrumental in introducing a resolution calling for the Mayor's resignation. He has also been a media presence holding strong against public corruption and the defiance of the Ridgefield Mayor to resign and the resulting fallout by Governor Corzine to have Ridgefield reviewed by State officials as reported on such news outlets as CBS, NBC, ABC, My9, News12, NJN, NY1, FIOS1, The Record, The Star Ledger, The New York Times, The Associated Press, 1010 WINS, WCBS radio, and PolitickerNJ.
