InfoJared Gary Christiansen was born on October 21, 1991 to parents Rosemary and Todd. Growing up, Jared liked to try new areas of expertise, whether it would be basketball, baseball, wrestling, spelling bees, geography bees, flying lessons, and most importantly, POLITICS. Growing up he also had a sense of responsibility, motivation, and a need to help others.

At age 12, Jared started to take flying lessons at Blue Airways at the Red Wing Regional Airport, MN. At the time, Jared was one of the youngest students around. He was so young, they had to make him a styrofoam seat so he could see over the control panel. He self-studied, read books, and got very good grades in school. He is currently almost ready to achieve his Private Pilot's License.

At age 14, Jared joined the Civil Air Patrol, Red Wing Composite Squadron, a national youth leadership organization that is the official Auxillary of the U.S. Air Force. In the CAP, he has learned leadership styles, feedback, leadership traits, and ethical standards while wearing the military uniform. He has also learned how to do disaster relief, community service, and search and rescue. He is currently of 2nd Lieutenant grade and is the Cadet Commander. As Cadet Commander, he manages the 32 cadets and plans the yearly activities of the cadets.

At age 15, on December 27th, 2006, Jared started his first real job. You could call raking a neighbors yard while they are on vacation, without them knowing it, a job! At McDonalds in Red Wing, MN, he quickly achieved recognition for his determination to learn new areas. Six months later, Jared was promoted to Crew Trainer. As this position, he had to train new crew on proper procedures, food handling, and ensuring that the customers were put first. At the same time, Jared was a host, walking around the lobby area talking to customers. Jared has always been a people person, and reportedly one of the best hosts, by his boss. About a year and a half later, he was promoted to Associate Manager. As a manager he had to learn how to delegate tasks, keep the budget of the restaurant balanced through food costs and labor, and to effectively manage others around him while critiquing at the same time. He currently is on his way to promoting to Second Assistant at the end of the year. He also works as the Hospitality Manager. In this position he makes the working environment fun, and works closely with the store manager, Julie, in finding ways to improve customer service.

Finally, since about age 16, Jared has been taking care of the homefront. His parents are on the road truck drivers and are gone for extensive periods of time. He takes care of his dog, Clifferd, and cat, Callie. You may wonder sometimes, "Where does high school come into play?" Jared attends iQ Academies of Wisconsin, where he is in the 11th grade. iQ is a virtual online high school that fits a students schedule and around their life. This was a perfect option when Jared started working forty hours a week at McDonalds in order to pay for his bills and run his campaign.

With these life experiences, Jared has grown into a dynamic young gentleman. He has extensive leadership qualities and the willing to help others around him. He also enjoys mending items that are broken. He also is a man of change. He enjoys changing ideas and getting input from others to determine what is the best solution. However, he will never compromise a person's moral or ethical rights and put others needs below him. As governor, he will use these life lessons to listen and work with the people of Wisconsin to achieve a prosperous and ethical state. He will bring change to Wisconsin, as he has done to us and others around him!
