"I lobbied against a hog farm that was trying to come into Kentucky, a cesspool that they called a 'lagoon,'" Lyons said. "I saw the farms in North Carolina and all the problems they caused. From that point on, I knew I would do whatever it takes to stop this from happening to our state."
She also supports Galbraith in legalizing marijuana for medical use.
"The war on drugs is the craziest thing I have ever seen," Lyons said. "It's un-American. It's upside down."
