Mr. Landau also has a long history of public service, including as solicitor for the Borough of Yeadon, Delaware County, Pennsylvania from 1992-1998 and as special counsel for Nether Providence Township in Delaware County. He has handled numerous zoning matters, building code issues and public employee labor disputes and has prosecuted dozens of local criminal law violations. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of Family and Community Services of Delaware County since 2003. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of Jewish Federation of Delaware County as well as Congregation Ohev Shalom in Wallingford, Pennsylvania. He currently serves as Membership Subcommittee chair of the American Bar Association Litigation Section’s Committee on Employment and Labor Relations Law.

Mr. Landau received his B.A., with honors, from Brown University in 1975 and his J.D. from the Washington College of Law, American University in 1978. From 1978-1985, he was National Staff Counsel of the American Civil Liberties Union in Washington, DC, where he handled major civil liberties and civil rights litigation and represented the ACLU before Congress on legislative issues. He has testified more than 30 times on constitutional law issues before various Congressional Committees.

Mr. Landau is admitted to the Bars of Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, the First, Third and Federal Circuits; and the U.S. District Courts, District of Columbia and Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
