| Info | Bacon has been a results oriented financial officer with a distinctive career in general and financial management. Bacon was with the firm of Coopers & Lybrand and audited numerous companies, such as the N.J. Underwriting Assoc., Hartford Insurance Company, General Reinsurance Corp., and acted as the Chief Insurance Examiner for the State of Vermont for an engagement. He took a position as financial officer of one of his accounts which was Alexander Howden Group, of more than 40 companies. This company was traded on the London Exchange and was considered as one of the 10 top banking, insurance and shipping conglomerates in the world.
Mr. Bacon was President of a insurance consulting firm for around twenty years to retirement in 2000, and was engaged by Syndicates in the Insurance Exchange of America, insurers, underwriters, finance companies, foreign insurers, foreign and domestic re-insurers, claim service operations, investigation companies, brokers, excess and surplus lines brokers.
Mr. Bacon was President of the South Florida Chapter of the Insurance Accounting and Statistical Association for four years where he conducted CPE credit courses and educational programs for CPAs and others affiliated in the insurance industry. He is published in the Miami Herald and AM Best, blogged for the Orlando Sentinel, taught computer science in a private school, has a copyright program called PLASIC, a cost accounting innovative product line analysis for insurance product such as health care.
Bacon was the US representative for Dai Tokio F & M, Sphere and Drake Insurance Companies and Adriatica, gaining an understanding of English, Japanese, Italian and South American generally accepted insurance accounting procedures. Mr. Bacon has always vociferously defended public issues in speech and writing. He was awarded commendation awards for his work as Budget advisor for Miami Beach, and Plainfield N.J., accounting association and from the Latin American Brokers Association.
He is a licensed pilot land and sea, and was invited to participate in the American Ice Speed Skating Championships while in high school and did.
Bacon is a graduate from the Baruch College of CCNY with an AAS and BBA in accounting and administration. He was also Treasurer and Director of South Bridge Towers in N.Y. which was a 1200 units cooperative housing in the Wall Street area of Manhattan. He lives with the love of his life in DeBary and has a step daughter in college.
