About Tony

In 2006 Governor Heineman appointed Tony Fulton to finish State Auditor Mike Foley’s term representing District 29 in the Nebraska Legislature.

Senator Fulton serves on the Appropriations Committee and as vice-chairman of the Building Maintenance Special Committee. He was also appointed by his colleagues to the Legislature’s Select Committee on Gender and Minority Equity. Senator Fulton works hard to be thoroughly informed on pending legislation and ask meaningful questions during floor debate on important issues.

Tony Fulton worked as a mechanical engineer for years before opening his own small business, Guardian Angels Homecare, which provides in-home care for the elderly and has about 90 employees in Lancaster County.

Tony Fulton was born and raised in Auburn where he attended K-12 public school and his family still lives in Auburn. He graduated from Auburn Senior High in 1990 and moved to Lincoln to study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nebraska. He also studied Philosophy at Kansas Newman University in Wichita, and Theology at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emittsburg, MD.

Tony Fulton married Judy Vandewalle from Lincoln and they have six children.
