InfoMs. Blotzer is a retired special education teacher, active in the Mt. Washington Community Development Corp. and the Coalition of Labor Union Women.

Georgia has worked in our public schools as a special education teacher and program developer, on local and national campaigns as an organizer, and with nonprofits as a board member and volunteer. She is a proud member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association and the Coalition of Labor Union Women. She has been an active Democrat and has served as the committee woman for Ward 19 District 28.

Georgia led the effort to replace the McArdle Roadway Barriers. She organized meetings and, with the task force, lobbied local, state and federal representatives to obtain nearly $500,000 to study the engineering and hillside drainage problems that cause the road to crack, to look at replacing the barriers and corroded fencing, and to improve lighting on the road. As a member of the Mt. Washington Community Development Corporation, Georgia helped plan and implement a "Realtor Tour" of the well-built and affordable off- Grandview housing stock. As a member of the Chatham Club Board, Georgia helped facilitate a public safety forum with the Commander of the Zone 3 Police Station. She also joined with a coalition from the West End to speak before the city planning commission against a proposed strip club on West Carson Street.
