InfoMark Johns is a lifelong Webster, NY resident and the son of a disabled WWII Veteran. His parents met at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, D.C. He was elected to represent the people of the 135th district in the New York State Assembly on November 2, 2010. His district includes part of Monroe County.

Mark Johns attended both local Catholic and public schools and was an Eagle Scout at the age of 14. He graduated from St. John Fisher College in Pittsford, NY with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology.

Before his election to the Assembly, Johns worked for the Monroe County Department of Public Health in the field of Environmental Health. Mark continued his career in public service as a former member of the Webster Conservation Board. In 2007, voters in the Town of Webster elected Mark as a Town Board Member. As a Council Member, Mark served as liaison to the Webster Public Library. In his three years, Mark has voted for stable budgets which have never included a tax increase.

Committed to his community, Johns serves as a Member and Volunteer for the Eastside and Bay View YMCA, a Liaison to the North East Fire Council and has served as the Town Board Liaison to the Webster Public Library. Johns also is active with the Boy Scouts, serving as a contributing member to the Seneca Waterways Boy Scouts of America Council Skills for Living, Values for Life committee.
