Info | Justen was born on September 13, 1983 to Deborah A. and Robert O. Wright, I. Justen was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware along with his two older brothers, Maurice Foster and Robert O. Wright, II. He attended various schools in Wilmington including St. Peter’s Elementary, P.S. duPont Middle, Christ Our King, and Alexis I. DuPont High.
Justen’s education and nurturing from family and mentors has developed him into a well-rounded young man. He is respected by all for his tenacity and desire to be the best that he can be. He participated in the WEMA Baseball League, Bancroft Youth Enrichment Camp, Saturday Academy and the Forum to Advance Minorities in Engineering Program (FAME). In June of 2000, Justen graduated from Alexis I. DuPont High School one year early, at the age of 16. With his drive, determination, and love for the funeral industry, Justen commuted to New York, New York daily for two years to obtain his Associates Degree from the American Academy of McAllister Institute of Funeral Service.
In September of 2002, Justen was featured in the Crossroads edition of the News Journal. Shortly, thereafter, he completed his year long apprenticeship, served under his father, Robert O. Wright I, C.F.S.P., and became licensed as a Funeral Director in the State of Delaware at the age of 20. In June of 2004, Justen served as the keynote speaker for the Delaware State University’s Young Entrepreneur Conference. In addition, he earned his Limited Life Producers Insurance License during the same year.
Justen currently serves as the Vice President of The House of Wright Mortuary, Inc., Chairperson of the membership committee for the National Funeral Directors & Morticians Association and Treasurer for the Delaware State Funeral Directors Association. While continuing his education at Delaware Technical & Community College, he became certified as a Funeral Service Professional (CFSP) and a notary public. He is the fiancé of Trista Laster and the caring uncle of Robert III, Maurice, and Latrell Wright. Justen is a very energetic and goal oriented individual. He has excelled in many ways and continues to be involved in community events throughout the city.
