Born in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, Perry’s family moved to Port Washington when he was just 1 year old. He was raised in Port Washington and attended Washington Heights and Lincoln elementary schools, John Long Middle School in Grafton, and Port Washington High School, graduating with honors from Ozaukee High School in Fredonia. Attending the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, Perry pursued degrees in theater and music.
Perry currently works as a program facilitator in a group home for developmentally disabled adults in Port Washington. He has also held positions in such a wide array of industries as retail, insurance, and computer technology, including: assistant buyer with Boston Store, Milwaukee; buyer with Emporium-Capwell, San Francisco; assistant vice president with Sherwood Insurance Services, San Francisco; and director of information systems with Joe Boxer Corp, San Francisco.
