| Info | Cheryl Hancock is the Executive Director of the American Red Cross Scenic Bluffs Chapter, which provides services throughout the Coulee Region. Hancock is credited with turning around the struggling chapter and was twice a finalist for the La Crosse Tribune "Person of the Year" Award for leading the assistance efforts in the aftermath of large scale flooding in 2007. She has served on the Holmen School Board for 12 years, and received the most votes in the spring 2008 Holmen School Board elections. She was re-elected in April to a fourth term as board president. Cheryl grew up in the Melvina area, where she graduated from Cashton High School. She moved to the Holmen area in 1990 with her husband, Victor, and their two children, Brian and Jessica.
In addition to the Holmen School Board, Cheryl currently serves the community as a member of the Board of Directors of the Holmen Area Partnership for Youth and the Holmen Area Foundation. She is a member of the La Crosse Downtown Rotary, serves as the judges chair for the Miss Holmen pageant and is a WIAA gymnastics official with a Master Level rating. Cheryl has been a part of the Wisconsin Rural Leadership Program, the Wisconsin Jaycees and Jaycees of Wisconsin Board of Directors, and the Association of Professional Fundraisers. She has served in leadership roles in each of these endeavors.
