Infoonathan Denis was elected the MLA for Calgary-Egmont on March 3, 2008.

Prior to entering public life, Jonathan obtained university degrees in commerce and law. In his career, Jonathan was a senior associate with a national law firm (specializing in government relations) and the President of a national communications firm. He was also a Director of the Institute of Public Sector Accountability, a group that promotes accountability in government.

Jonathan has been a volunteer with the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Multiple Sclerosis Society, and the Canadian Cancer Society. He is also a long-time health care advocate for patients throughout Calgary.

In addition to his responsibilities as an MLA, Jonathan has been appointed to the following government committees:

- Cabinet Policy Committee for Health
- Standing Committee on Health
- Public Accounts
- Alberta/Alaska Committee
- Private Bills House Strategy Committee

Jonathan is a resident of Calgary-Egmont in the community of Kingsland.
