Info | Wayne Leach, candidate for Maine Senate District #25, was born in Ellsworth, and has lived and worked in Maine all his life. He attended Maine public schools and Farmington State Teachers College. Wayne is familiar with the work environment in Maine, having worked a variety of jobs throughout much of Maine, including canning factories, shoe shops, carpentry, pulp & paper mills, heavy equipment mechanic, and truck driver. He has written and published several books of poetry.
Wayne has four sons and eleven grandchildren. Now semi-retired, he lives in Winslow with his wife of 36 years on 150 acres of woods (that he’s determined to keep in its natural state).
Wayne has run for office several times as a 3rd party candidate, and has remained quite active and involved in local politics. He is currently the chairman of the Winslow Republican Committee and a delegate to the state convention. He looks forward to touring the district to discuss the important issues presently facing Maine voters.
